In fact, we invite you to join our current research project and share your thoughts at https://cotavoice.com. We even have rewards available for panel contributors. We can’t wait to hear from you.
Your Feedback Can Make Us Better
We conduct a variety of surveys to learn about the people riding or thinking about riding COTA, understand how people ride and to gauge how the area’s needs may change in the future.
The types of surveys we conduct include:
- Rider Surveys: Conducted on the bus by COTA staff. These surveys usually ask about a particular route change, a rider’s destination and origin (your home, for example) and when a rider uses the bus. Rider surveys tells us how our riders use a particular line and help identify changes that may improve service.
- On-Board Surveys: These surveys ask in-depth demographic questions about how often a rider uses the bus, destinations and origins, fare type, income, race and more. This helps us identify trends or patterns that may influence how we change or create services. The information is also used in the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) transportation model, which projects how central Ohio’s transportation needs will grow. To learn more, visit morpc.org.
- Planning Surveys: With answers from these surveys, we can enhance our short- and long-term plans. These efforts may include presenting new ideas or concepts and asking the public to comment and provide their ideas.
Surveys are just one way to provide your input. We also invite you to visit our customer service page and provide your thoughts there.
