COTA to Launch May Service Improvements on Monday
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will launch its latest service change on Monday, May 6, 2024. Timetables for each transit line will be available online at COTA.com.
Beginning Monday, COTA will make adjustments to the following transit lines to improve on-time performance:
1 Kenny/Livingston
4 Indianola/Lockbourne
8 Karl/S. High/Parsons
22 OSU Rickenbacker
43 Westerville
72 Tuttle
73 Dublin
CMAX
COTA will also improve frequency on the following lines:
3 Northwest/Harrisburg
7 Mt. Vernon
23 James/Stelzer
34 Morse
Additionally, some minor changes will be made to routes to improve efficiency:
9 W. Mound/Brentnell
12 McKinley/Fields
71 Hilliard
Zoo Bus will also return this summer. Zoo Bus is a popular summer transit service at COTA and an easy way to travel between downtown Columbus and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay. Service begins Saturday, May 11, and will continue every weekend in May. Beginning Memorial Day, Zoo Bus will run 7 days a week through Labor Day.
COTA makes changes to its service three times a year, on the first Monday of January, May and September. Changes include schedule adjustments to improve travel times, modified service, as well as construction-related route changes.
